Empowering Style. The Celebrity Wishmaker Simonetta Lein Meets Actress, Producer & Entrepreneur Brooke Lewis

“Go Fierce Or Go Home”. Simonetta Lein
When I meet people that feel genuine, kind, competent and succefull yet humble and inspiring I feel empowered. When those people are women my pride comes out, I stand for girl bosses and I strongly believe women have to stick together. There is nothing better to see another fellow woman that is succesful and inspiring. Maybe there is just one small thing that can be better than that: if they are from Philly, the city of brotherly love that I am so in love with. Is there a woman that can incarnate all the above? Yes, her name is Brooke Lewis and after this interview I will stand up for her forever. From Philly Girl to Philly Girl, let’s do this.
Who are you and what is the name of your business?
My name is Brooke Lewis and I am honored by this interview. I am a “Jackess-Of-All-Trades,” as a working Actress, Producer, Author, Writer, Life Coach, TV Dating Expert and Hot Mess. My production company is Philly Chick Pictures and my coaching company is Be You And Be Fearless Life Coach.
What is your brand about?
I love this question, because you will notice similar themes and missions in all my careers, projects and brands. I am super committed to “Female Empowerment,” “Girl Power,” “Courage” and “Be Fearless”! I encourage teen girls and young women to cultivate their inner strengths, embrace their truth and beauty and love themselves from the inside out. Whether I am choosing film roles to act in, producing films, coaching clients, authoring books or partnering with product brands, I seek to create power and strength in teen girls and women. In 2008, I created my alter-ego character, Ms. Vampy . She is a comedic, mobster Brooklyn Vampiress with a “heart of gold” and positive messages for teen girls. We had an award-winning talk show that is now in development as a scripted TV series.
I was so incredibly inspired by this project and my teen cast, I went back to school to the Life Purpose Institute, became a Board Certified Life Coach and started my company Be You And Be Fearless Life Coach . Based on the success of the Ms. Vampy shows, I authored the book Ms. Vampy’s Teen Tawk: There’s A Lotta Power In Ya Choices with advice for teen girls, then followed with my adult coaching book Coaching From A Professed Hot Mess (Yes, I said it and I Own It!!!) (And, yes, there is a point to me sharing all this! LOL!). Following this, and in conjunction with both award-winning books, I was truly blessed to be branded with, and produce, my own clothing line at Metal Babe Mayhem , where we designed fabulous ‘Rock Your Hot Mess’ clothing to support women to rock their “Hot Mess”, since we all have some! Another blessing followed, in which I was branded with, and produced, my very own makeup and skin care lines at TASH Cosmetics . We created the ‘Profess Your Hot Mess’ line for adults and ‘Ms. Vampy Girl’ for teens.

What is your mission?
Now that I have overstimulated you with all my brand and mission info, I want to share my true mission and mantras:
“Be You…And, Be Fearless!” – Be You And Be Fearless Life Coach
“Let’s break the ‘rules’ and stop chasing “perfection.” It gets tiring trying to be “perfect” all the time, doesn’t it?” – Coaching From A Professed Hot Mess
“When faced with fear, dig deep inside, find your inner vamp, and Vamp It Out! ” – Ms. Vampy’s Teen Tawk
“Let’s stop trying to be “perfect” and get “pretty” from the inside out!” – ‘Profess Your Hot Mess’ Brooke Lewis at TASH Cosmetics
“’Ms. Vampy Girl’ empowers teens to embrace their inner beauty and enhance and express it on the outside!” – ‘Ms. Vampy Girl’ Brooke Lewis at TASH Cosmetics

**We can be many things and yet be part of the same persona, the same message, the same mission. From a brand point of view, Brook shows us how being coherent and a bit “workaholic” can create many facets of ourselves and not confuse our public or costumers. This is a very thin line that can be easily crossed. The risk is that we limit ourselves to one role trying to stay true to our message yet we feel trapped by what other people may perceive from us. Being one single version is for sure a clear message but could be limitant and sometimes boring. Otherwise we can do the opposite, where we do many things and people get very confused as we do alsol. The secret is to have one mission and follow it through in every single thing we do. This way we can have a multi faceted and succesfull brand.
Are you a Millennial? What do you think about Millennials?
I missed the Millennial generation by a few years, so I am a proud Gen X-er! In keeping with my theme of “truth” (and, having a ton of Millennial friends!), I have mixed thoughts about Millennials. Also, I do not like to generalize, as individuals are just that. However, I do struggle with the level of technology Millennials have become accustomed to, and fear (especially as a life and dating coach) that true intimacy is a lost concept. Millennials appear to spend more time on their digital devices and social media, than they spend having face-to-face time (not FaceTime!!!) and building long-lasting friendships and relationships. On a positive note, I find most Millennials to be more FEARLESS than any other generation! I think they go after what they want, speak their minds and are resourceful and courageous in meeting their life goals. Honestly, my Millennial clients are my favorites to coach!
**I am a Millennial and I love your vision. Our generation is really corageous: things that are sometimes borderline within a new reality (that Millenials themselves created) risk becoming a separate reality. I think Millennials have that special spark but like every generation they have to stay connected with previous generations to grasp every good thing we had in the past. I am a social media influencer so I am always on social media, my husband is a Generation Xer and he does not have one single social media account. Imagine how fun it gets between us. I am his bridge into the modern world and he reminds me constantly about the beauty of life and its semplicity. We can use social media a lot but we have to keep in mind that it is just one part of life not the whole.
If you are here it means that you love fashion. Why?
I am a “Glam Gal” through and through! From growing up in Philly and Jersey, then heading to NYC and Hollywood, I have experienced so many different and eclectic fashion trends. As an actress in Hollywood, I have been fortunate to be styled, both on and off set, with some of the coolest and most chic wardrobe around town. Early on in my career, I learned the importance of having relationships with wonderful style houses, so I can pull a fabulous outfit to wear on a red carpet. I also learned the importance of having a few items on hand at all times (Girls, you know what I am talking about!), which include that sexy black dress, that designer clutch handbag, that pair of “Carrie Bradshaw” shoes and that Prada jacket for chilly nights! Most importantly, I love fashion, because it is a form of expression, creative expression, and a way to enhance our inner beauty!

**I loved this trend as soon as it came out: using a trench coat as your dress. As seen on Kim Kardashian this trend looks awesome on Brooke and the jacket is a Prada beauty, always trendy yet classy. Go fierce or go home!

**This look is simple yet on point , perfect for petite and if you want to “tall it out”. The Palazzo pants are perfect to make you look taller and thinner and a super plus goes to the high leather belt that will define your waist and makes you look sexier. A look that can be reversible for the day if you close the V neckline and for the night when you open it and put a beautiful pair oh high heels. Vamp it out!

**A casul look, yet that faux fur and the color of the jacket makes it interesting. I personally love long hair on top of a big collar. Looking faboulous and pretty from the inside out.
What cannot miss from your wardrobe?
I cannot miss my “Flashdance” style tops and sweatshirts! I fell in love with my off-the-shoulder tops growing up in the 80s (see Gen X!) and I am still married to them today! In fact, I love them so much, I had to have all my clothing brands at Metal Babe Mayhem come in this style! From our ‘Rock Your Hot Mess’ to ‘Ms. Vampy Design’ to ‘Scream Queen Brooke Lewis’ design, we represent the off-the-shoulder style.
Your favorite pair of shoes and why?
I LIVE in my Louboutins (and, I have many)!!! Swear! As a “shorty”, I have always loved high heels to elongate my legs and make me feel oh-so-sexy! From that six-inch heel to that red sole, Louboutins make me feel “Ohh La La”!!!

**Did we say faboulous high heels? There you go. With Louboutin you never go wrong and the big plateau makes them accessible. At least for the super high heel lovers. Faboulous.
What is your style, and what you cannot stand in people, inside and out?
My external style is Comfortably Chic. My internal style is INTEGRITY and LOVE! I cannot stand when people do not live with their integrity and truth! I cannot stand when people judge or look down upon others. Too often, people have preconceived notions about others, without knowing any real information. “Live and let live!” And, I cannot stand when people do not smile at others (welcome to Hollywood! LOL!).
What is your fashion mantra?
“Vamp It Out!” Of course! (wink)
What is that magic word that speaks about you?
“Courageous”
What is a wish that you would commit to grant this year to someone paying it forward?
As an actress working in the business for 20 years, I am blessed with some of the greatest fans in the world (horror and sci-fi fans are to “die” for!). I receive so much beautiful fan mail, emails, and messages on social media. I have had fans reach out who are suffering from chronic illness and disabilities, and I have received letters from parents with sick children, requesting autographed photos, DVDs or books. I would love to commit to granting one of these fans an in-person visit this year. Again, nothing better than seeing a SMILE face to face!
**We have to make this happen.
Thank you to the beautiful (inside & out!), Simonetta Lein, for inviting me to be a part of this stylish and heartfelt The Wishmaker Interview!
**My dear Brooke, it was a pleasure, an honor. I am your fan so I am waiting for your next big success because if you win you can encourage so many more.
As always, make your wishes come true.
From Philadelphia, The Celebrity Wishmaker Simonetta Lein
