Empowering Style. The Celebrity Wishmaker Simonetta Lein Is #BackToTheFuture

“What goes around comes around”
I used this phrase on an Instagram post I published when NYFW18 had officially started. However, I did not know what the runways would have showed us. Well, once again I forecasted what has actually happened at NYFW Fall Winter 2018. I am a Eighties girl and it was my joy to see the latest season celebrating my formative years. This season could also be called “80’s Extravaganza”, where the shapes and colors of that decade are back, and they are here to stay.
Pink is still king, but it is brighter, bolder. It is the ‘Think Pink” shade I had in my hair last year and again, forecasting trends, here we have it. Fuchsia straight to you soul.

The 80’s early 90’s are my heart and soul and yes, the animalier is bold and with us. It goes from dresses, to leggings, and even 3D. Yes, my Bluemarine animalier trench from 4 years ago can come out of the closet.
Finally legs are colored, we can say goodbye to the boring black pantyhose as colors shape them up. Tom Ford really put his attention on giving us second skin leggings to brighten up our dreary days. I for one thank him for it.

The bigger the better. Shoulders are bold and coats are oversized. It really looks like those years are back again and it feels so good.

And what about the skirt suit? For a working woman who is feminine and vintage at the same time yet so modern and fashionable? On top simply put on an oversized coat and you will be #BackToTheFuture

Also jewelry is big and magnificent, belt purses and electric colors are back. Have you traveled back in time? Actually, you are in the future. When I shot my #backtothefuture campaign two weeks before the runway shows, I once again forecasted trends: social media has that power.

What fashion trends are we going to see next from the past?
