Empowering Teenage Mothers and their children Through Education in Rwanda

On behalf of Afro Ark - a local NGO envisioning Gender Equality, I wish for a world where teenage mothers and their children have equal access to quality education in Rwanda. Education is a fundamental right, and teenage mothers often drop out with no hope of returning to school after being rejected by their parents for unintended pregnancies and birth. The children of poor teenage mothers are also malnourished and lack both school fees and scholastic materials to attend school. By offering school dues and scholastic materials, teenage mothers who want to return to school, and their children have a meaningful future.

I dream of supporting at least 30 teenage mothers desiring to go back to school and 30 of their children at the age of attending school.

My wish is to see a society that does not stigmatize or marginalize teenage mothers but instead uplifts them and recognizes their potential. Through support to education, we can break the cycle of poverty and create a brighter future for teenage mothers and their children.
