Let’s Stand Up and March for Women
Date Published: 1/24/2018
This past weekend we celebrated the one year anniversary of the Woman’s March. All over the country women, men, and gender non-conforming individuals expressed their voices. In the city of Los Angeles the mayor said over 500,000 people gathered in downtown this year.
Last year my wish was that the march would be more inclusive to women of color. This year I noticed that there were more women of color, but I also realize that we still have a ways to go. I’m happy to say we are seeing progress from my wish last year and hopefully we’ll see even more inclusion next year.
