Request for Sponsorship for My Son’s Education and Therapy Fees
Date Published:
Dear Wishwall Foundation,
I hope this message finds you well. My name is Luyanda, and I am reaching out with a heartfelt request for assistance in supporting my son, Bomi, who is on the Autism Spectrum. Due to a series of financial challenges following my job loss, Bomi has been out of school for two years. I am now desperately seeking sponsorship to help cover his school fees and intervention therapies that are critical for his development.
Bomi is a vibrant 7-year-old boy who will turn 8 on 25 December 2024. He has been diagnosed with expressive language delay and needs intervention therapies, including speech, occupational, and physical therapy, to help him thrive. Without access to these therapies, his progress is at risk of regression, especially as I am not a qualified teacher and can only provide limited assistance at home.
Unfortunately, due to the long waiting lists at government schools (up to three years for placement) and the distance to these schools, I cannot afford the private schools nearby. Bomi’s social skills are also compromised as he is isolated at home. It is my deepest wish for him to be enrolled in school by 2025, where he can receive the education and therapy interventions he needs for his well-being and future.
In addition to being a single mother of two children without an income, I have been working to build a startup business in content creation, spanning film, television, and corporate projects. Although I have developed a Minimum Viable Product, securing capital has been challenging, impacting my ability to provide for my children, especially Bomi’s education and therapy needs.
I kindly ask for your consideration and assistance in helping Bomi return to school so that he can continue his developmental journey. Your support would make a world of difference in his life and mine.
Thank you for taking the time to read my request. I truly hope that my wish may find a place in your mission to make dreams come true.
