City Survival to Nature Healing and Serving Others

My deepest wish is to move my children and myself from a dense Brooklyn apartment into a simple one-story home closer to nature, with fresh air, trees, and a small outdoor space where we can ground and restore. Over the years I’ve learned how sensitive my nervous system is to the constant intensity of city life, which keeps my body in a state of fight-or-flight and has affected my health and my ability to be the present, joyful mother my children deserve. As a therapist and social worker dedicated to helping others heal, I dream of creating retreats and workshops that support mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being—but I need a calmer environment to restore my own health first. A peaceful home in nature would help my family thrive and allow me to extend that healing to many others.
