A Safe and Functional Classroom for Children in Babubock, Cameroon

Date Published:

I wish for the renovation of one functional classroom at the Government Primary School in Babubock, Nguti Subdivision, Kupe Muanenguba Division, Southwest Region of Cameroon.

Due to years of conflict and neglect, children in this rural community are learning in unsafe, dilapidated classroom conditions—some without proper desks, floors, windows, or weather protection. These conditions disproportionately affect children from vulnerable and displaced families, denying them equal access to quality education and exposing them to health and safety risks.

My wish is to restore one classroom into a safe, dignified, and child-friendly learning space by repairing the structure, improving lighting and ventilation, and providing basic furniture. This simple intervention would give dozens of children the chance to learn with hope, dignity, and equal opportunity-because no child should be discriminated against or left behind simply because of where they were born.

Education is a fundamental human right. A single renovated classroom can change lives, inspire a community, and help break the cycle of inequality.
