Dudley: The world changes, but two things remain constant...youth and beauty. They're really one in the same thing.

Julia Brougham: Yes. The trouble is, people grow old.

Dudley: Not everybody. The only people who grow old were born old to begin with.~THE BISHOP'S WIFE

THE BISHOP'S WIFE [https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0039190], came up in conversation this week when talking about holiday movies and messages. During the Christmas season, Dudley (Cary Grant), an angel disguised as a mortal, strolls around town and notices Julia Brougham (Loretta Young), the bishop's wife, gazing wistfully through a store window. Dudley follows Julia to a Christmas tree lot, where she meets her old friend, Professor Wutheridge, and expresses her sadness that her husband Henry (David Niven) is too busy worrying about to enjoy the Christmas season...

(THE BISHOP'S WIFE was nominated for 5 Academy Awards and remade as THE PREACHER'S WIFE starring Denzel Washington and Whitney Houston. Check out Amazon or set your DVR for THE BISHOP'S WIFE MONDAY, DECEMBER 24 @ 08:00 PM (ET) on TCM.)

As we get busy this holiday season, there are plenty of movies that remind us about the message of Christmas. Look for a new perspective on the message this year to help yourself #ShineThroughtheNoise. Be open to seeing the angels around us.

Thanks again for your support with World AIDs Day! I'm grateful to be invited to a dinner where Bono will be speaking in Chicago about the ONE Campaign message.

More news after that event.

Best wishes for the right balance of work, play and holiday!
