Looking for grant on the project "Redesigning breast and cervical cancer screening strategies in resource-limited Settings".

Currently, we are lacking cancer early detection program, most of cancer cases are seen at
very advanced stages where the patient only benefits from palliative care. There is no adequate awareness
of the population regarding cancer early detection. For breast and cervical cancer, women delay to consult
health facilities and once at the health facility, they face diagnostic delays because providers are not
sufficiently trained on management of the cases. This innovative research project is unique as it will use
trained community health workers and health center nurses considered to be at the forefront of health system';
in Sab Saharan.
The solution to this challenge is that the implementation of this project will enable us to reach a big number of women using minimal resources
thus easy integration into existing health systems, key for sustainability even after the closure of the project.
In addition, the project will improve cancer control in the country with possibility to be scaled up across
African context, especially decreasing mortality related to breast cancer as more the disease is detected at
early stage, better are treatment outcomes
