Training of 40 women on making lorena cookstoves
Date Published:
I need to know if you can consider supporting our wish of training 40 women in Kasese Municipality on building Lorena cookstoves an energy-efficient, low-cost, and locally sourced cooking solution.
These stoves use significantly less firewood than traditional open fires, reducing deforestation and harmful smoke exposure. For the women and their families, this means improved health, lower fuel costs, and fewer hours spent collecting firewood. By empowering 40 women with hands-on skills, we aim to create a multiplying effect each trainee can build stoves for her own home and neighbors, spreading climate-smart technology throughout the community.
We already have a local trainer and a venue secured. Your support would cover materials, tools, and stipends for the participants.
