Akasha Garnier: I recently chatted with the lovely Kim Baptiste, actor and social media friend for several years. We've had the pleasure of discussing goals, family, journeys and upcoming releases. Kim Baptiste: Congratulations on the amazing growth in followers to your A-List blogs. Your blogs and social media posts are very powerful in that they make people FEEL: Smiles, joy, the pleasure of seeing the world, excitement of sharing what’s good in the people and places around us.

As for me, the life of an actor is up & down, yes & no, exciting and scary, at the same time but I’m loving every minute of it. The projects I worked on in 2018 are starting to premiere in 2019. It’s always exciting to see the final cut of a project you’ve worked on. Especially, to see if your scenes are part of the storyline.



 



I had a co-star role as Donna, an Art Patron, on the popular TV series Claws on TNT [https://www.tntdrama.com/shows/claws ]. Claws 3rd Season premieres June 10th. I’m in Episode 5 that should air July 5th. Starring Niecy Nash, Carrie Preston, Karrueche Tran, Harold Perrineau.

Akasha, thank you for being supportive of me and my acting career. It means more than you know that you are open and willing to share the success of others. And, I know you know what the industry is like for actors. I’m waiting on air dates for 3 other projects I had costar roles:



 



I play Denise, a Nurse in Tell Me Your Secrets an upcoming thriller drama television series created by Harriet Warner that follows a trio of characters, each with a mysterious and troubling past: a woman who once looked into the eyes of a dangerous killer, a former serial predator desperate to find redemption, and a grieving mother obsessed with finding her missing daughter that is set to premiere on TNT release date expected in June. Stars Lily Rabe, Amy Brenneman, Hamish Linklater and Enrique Murciano.



 



I play a Sheriff in the film Walkaway Joe which is a movie of an unlikely friendship between a young boy searching for his father, and a wandering loner hiding from his past. In each other they experience the power of a second chance, and a shot of redemption. Starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan, David Strathairn. No release date yet.



 



I play a news reporter in the Untitled Henry & Rel Sci-Fi Project. This film was so hush-hush during filming there isn’t much info available to share. The film stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jamie Foxx, Courtney Vance, Machine Gun Kelly. Hopefully my 2 scenes make the cut, as I worked with Courtney Vance who was wonderful to work with.



 



I’m most grateful for every opportunity in this business. Becoming an actor came later in life for me. And, the one thing I know for sure is I’m in the right place. This is where God has led me.



 



I’m taking the ride with gratitude. Many actors are waiting for their big break. I’m waiting for my next opportunity to work. There’s a lifetime of learning in the acting world both professionally and personally, and I’m ready..
