Becoming Jake's Six
Date Published: 6/10/2025
My name is Michelle; I am the proud mother of Army Specialist Jacob Ashton. My son was an active soldier at Fort Drum, New York. On August 5th. In 2024, my son was murdered by another soldier, Jake's roommate, in their barracks for unknown reasons at this time. I have been told might be due to jealousy, jealousy of the soldier my son was, jealousy of the man my son was becoming, and jealousy of the love my son received from everyone. Jake was and is your All-American Boy! Jake had a heart of gold and touched many lives. Jake was found in the back seat of his car in the parking lot of the barracks. The "accused" carried my son's body from the second floor in the barracks, down the back stairs, across the walkway to Jake's car, and placed him in there without anyone noticing. I am outraged that the military let this happen to my son. I want the military to take accountability for what has happened; I don't understand how this individual felt comfortable enough to do all of this on base! I am asking for support to hold the military accountable for negligence, and for President Trump to become aware of the tragedy of my son's death. Become Jake's Six with me. Thank you.
