We wish that every marginalized children and youth should have the opportunity to be able to read and write. We wish to improve opportunities for marginalized children in Chemelil Sugar Schemes to derive pleasure in reading, digital literacy, promote leadership and independence, and improve exposure, as they expound their knowledge and skills through access to relevant books and amenities such as e-learning devices We wish to provide safe spaces with vibrant libraries, computers so as to inspire readers who have the thirst to realize and reach their fullest potentials in life We believe that reading has the potential to inspire, empower, and contribute to a better quality of life.Education can open the door to people’s futures, and that high-quality education needs to be supported by the provision of relevant reading material. Libraries are often the most effective places to create access to books and information for all community members, enabling them to discover the joy and value of reading. We believe that if our vision of coming up with libraries in rural schools in Chemelil sugar scheme , informal settlement areas in kisumu county and rescue centers in Chemelil area were to be fully realised, we would witness transformational changes for communities and individuals.
