Date Published:

The project aims to establish a safe and fully functional night-shelter for 200 migrant working men in Vijayawada.

It will provide basic amenities such as beds, sanitation, drinking water, ventilation, and secure sleeping space.

The shelter addresses homelessness among labourers who currently sleep on pavements, especially on Vijayawada city Road.

Land will be purchased and a dedicated building constructed within the city limits.

Staff will manage daily operations, cleanliness, safety, and beneficiary support.

The project will collaborate with local labour groups, municipal authorities, and community leaders.

Proper financial systems, documentation, monitoring, and annual audits will ensure transparency.

Beneficiary registers, progress reports, and photographs will track implementation.

Sustainability will be achieved through small user fees, community support, and continued organizational oversight.

The shelter will enhance the dignity, health, and safety of migrant workers, contributing to SDG 1, 3, and 11.
