A Veterans' Dream
Date Published: 6/01/2017
Ever since I returned home from Iraq after 9 years of service to our country and 3 tours of duty life has been hard on my family & I. My sister has medical issues & our Mother is a Breast Cancer patient and we have been trapped in a 2 bedroom apartment that is in high crime drug infested area.
The building is unsafe & not handicap accessible for our Mother. We are in desperate need of a Single Family house. I am being held back from buying a home with my VA loan because of my credit score. My wish is that someone somehow could gift us a Home. I have seen other Veterans be given homes by charities & my family and I need this more than ever. If not, a bank that would work with me and allow me to use my VA loan to purchase the home we need.
The landlord of the building is threatening to evict us because he unfairly raised our rent & we are on borrowed time. I am hoping someone sees this & will contact me because we have reached out to all Local, State & Federal agencies that are supposed to help Veterans only to be turned away without help claiming we are not eligible. You have no idea what it feels like to feel like you have been abandoned & no one cares.
To come home & be treated like I'm invisible is so discouraging because when my service to our country was needed I never said no but now my family & I need help all we hear constantly from charities & agencies is "Sorry we can't help you". I am looking for a helping hand that will have an open heart to help my family & I in our time of need help.
Please help us. Yours truly, SPC CJ Murray Army & Army National Guard 2003-2012
