We are a small art and culture based venture from Nepal. We wish to build a women resource centre in the Terai Region of Nepal for women from most discriminated and disadvantaged community to support their livelihood and empower them to be financially independent. This resource centre will be a multipurpose platform women, children and other minority groups:
The resource centre will work in collaboration with local government and agencies to implement and cover the gaps between the local population and government agencies by acting as an information centre.
3.2 This information centre will encompass activities like:
Research on social issues and relevant data
Dissemination of information about government provisions, loans, grants, and resources including but not limited to rights, funding, and policies.
Execute training and workshops to enhance the capacity of CSOs along with the local agencies.
Skill trainings for women and market linkages provided for establishing a proper full circle market ecosystems.
Create toolkits and methodologies to implement at grassroots level with communities and with girls and boys from schools.
3.3 The resource centre will run as an alternative education centre to carry out activities like preschool and post-school programs to enhance the level of education the children already are receiving or to encourage the children and their parents who have not joined schools at all.
3.4 The resource centre will also hold amenities like a library and creative education including but not limited to children’s theatre, musical programs, and others to enrich the knowledge of the children and bring them closer to a global understanding of the world that they live in.
