My Wish

My greatest wish is to be given a chance to continue my education without having to worry so much about the financial burden it brings to my family.

I am a first-year Tourism student, and I know that pursuing this course can be expensive. I am the third child among five siblings, and my mother is a single parent who has been doing her best to provide for all of us. Three of my siblings have special needs, which makes our family's situation even more challenging financially and emotionally.

Seeing my mother work hard just to provide for our family is something that gives me strength, but at the same time, it can be very discouraging. I know that she already carries so many responsibilities, and I don't want my education to become another burden for her.

My older sister is an IT student who studied at a private school in Quezon City. She was supposed to continue into her fourth year, but because of our financial situation, she had to stop pursuing her studies. Seeing her put her own dreams on hold because our family could not afford it is one of the reasons I am afraid that the same thing might happen to me.

I don't want to give up on my education. I want to finish my degree, become a successful professional in the tourism industry, and someday give my family the comfortable life they deserve. I want to be able to help my mother, especially with the needs of my siblings, and hopefully give my sister another opportunity to continue her education too.

My wish is not only for financial assistance. My wish is for a chance to keep going, a chance to finish school, pursue my dreams, and make all the sacrifices my family has made worth it.

If my wish is granted, it would mean more to me than I could ever put into words. It would give me hope that I can continue my journey without having to choose between my dreams and my family's needs.

I know that our situation is difficult, but I still believe that there is a better future waiting for us. I just need a little help getting there.

She-Digitizes Advances Digital Empowerment for 150 Women and Girls in Oyam Oyam, Uganda – March 2026 The Network Girl Tech Initiative Uganda, with generous support from Simonetta Lein and The Wishwall Foundation, is proud to announce that all equipment for the She-Digitizes: Empowering Women with Technology initiative has been successfully purchased, with installation now underway at the Wishwall Digital Hub. An entire forest grew because of a wish granted!

The well-being of our environment is the foundation of our society. When vital ecosystems become endangered, we drastically increase the risk of food insecurity, poverty, and supply chain disruptions. To alleviate these environmental and financial risks, Dream International in partnership with The Wishwall Foundation is implementing Nature-Based Solutions such as agroforestry and regenerative agriculture. By strategically planting trees alongside crops and livestock, agroforestry contributes to the livelihoods of local farmers while also balancing ecosystems and agricultural systems. An amazing aspect of agroforestry is its flexibility across different climates and landscapes. Best practices involve selecting native tree species like Musizi trees that benefit the local context, targeting different impacts based on the specific needs of the land—such as enhancing biodiversity, regenerating soils, preserving water sources, and preventing erosion.

Trees play a central role in our restoration efforts because of the vast array of benefits they provide. Beyond capturing carbon, trees are fundamental to creating healthy ecosystems and resilient communities. They regulate water supplies, prevent soil erosion, provide crucial habitats for wildlife, and generate economic opportunities to communities in need. In many ways, trees remain a cornerstone in the fight against climate change and environmental degradation, making them an irreplaceable part of restoring degraded landscapes. Among the students, Mary, a 10-year-old girl with dreams of becoming a teacher, expresses her joy at the changes. “It feels good to study in a nice place. Vulnerable communities, in particular, are disproportionately affected by climate change. Women happen to be one of those vulnerable groups. Even if they contribute extraordinarily to restoration initiatives, existing social norms and secondary treatment ensure they don’t get the benefits of their labor. Dream International in partnership with Wishwall Foundation, women have to undergo training and environmental education, covering long-term tree care, sustainable farming and foraging practices, and the basics of running a business of their own. It’s also an excellent opportunity for youth because they can start early and become experts much sooner than their previous generations. Thank you wish wall foundation for this unique opportunity.

We are pleased to announce that through the generous support of WISHWALL FOUNDATION, the refurbishing of classroom desks for the pupils of Kigoma Primary School has been well accomplished. This is an ongoing endeavor in our effort to better the educational facilities and make sure that the students have a friendly learning environment.
