Publish My Book on Kidney Donation
Date Published:
By nature, I consider myself to be a giver. As an expression of that part of me, 5 years ago, I began a journey to explore giving my kidney to someone in need. Yet, that journey turned out to be far more confusing than I anticipated. I learned during this process that 12 Americans die each day just waiting for a kidney, and over 4 million people worldwide are waiting, hoping and praying for someone to step forward and donate this precious gift of life to them. At the end of my year-long journey, I donated my kidney to save the life of Ronit, a single mother of three children, who lived in Israel and would have soon died without a transplant.
It was with great honor, humility and pride that I donated my kidney. But as a giver, I still felt limited, as I did not have an additional kidney to donate, but felt the pain of so many others who were still in need. Therefore, I have made a commitment to continue doing my part to help. I have taken my own kidney donation roadmap and outlined the entire process in a book entitled, The Kidney Donor Journey: 100 questions I Asked Before Donating My Kidney. It is the single book that I wish I had when I began exploring kidney donation, and the one that I hope so many others will read to help them explore their own journey. My goal is not to convince others to donate kidneys, but to raise awareness and demystify the process, by adding a human element to it. For ultimately, this journey is not about the surgery, but it is about life, and the people we can touch during our brief time on Earth.
It is my wish that this book will have a global impact and touch lives all over the world. Therefore, I have launched a Kickstarter campaign, in the hopes of generating the necessary funds to raise awareness, translate the book into multiple languages and gain a global distribution. We need to raise $12,000 in order to effectively launch and distribute the book and we need your help!!

With your support and the help of other caring people, we can work together to save and uplift many more lives.
