My wish became so much more
Date Published: 5/11/2016
When I posted my original wish, less than a month ago, I never dreamed where it would take me. I want so much to use my business as a way to give back to my community. Honestly, I was thinking baby steps ... Maybe find a fashion blogger willing to wear a few of our pieces or maybe a photographer willing to help with a photo shoot. I knew making more money would mean more money I could donate. But so much more was in store for me. Out of sheer fate, I was connected to the mother of an amazing girl. Thanks to Simonetta and the Wish Wall, I have the pleasure of getting to know Lauryn and help tell her story. When I heard about all of the amazing things Lauryn has done and her hopes for inspiring young girls all around the world, I knew this was more than an opportunity. It is so much more. It is a privilege that Lauryn and her mom trust me with her story. It is a gift of getting to know inspiration up close and personal. It is an opportunity not just to give back to my community, but to give back to young women all over the world.
Very soon, Lauryn will be proudly wearing and modeling our "Brave" Charity Necklace. This word IS Lauryn. Although I have yet to meet her face-to-face (I hope to very soon), Lauryn has been brave since she was born. Living with multiple complications, she has grown up to be a role-model to all those struggling through life with disabilities. I am so excited to help her continue to inspire those around her and afar.
I can't wait to work with her. By following the link below and purchasing the "brave" charity necklace, you will be doing two things. One, 20% of the proceeds will be donated to the iamthatgirl.com foundation. Two, 15% of the sales from this benefit will go towards a charity organization of Lauryn's choice.
