The Girls safe space

9 out of 10 girls in Orinie community are subjected to female genital mutilation before the age of ten. This has led to poor education transition and early marriage for the young indigenous girls. This has led to the deep rooted discrimination of girls and women which has facilitated the same cycle of di-empowerment and poverty. My wish is development of a girls rescue centre at the community level where the school going girls can access the the local primary school while getting the protection they deserve to transition through life without being subjected to any form of gender based violence. The Rescue centre will accommodate 120 girls.
