families and most especially women in my community are struggling with diseases affecting sexual reproductive organs. many times they get to the hospital when the situation is worse and with poverty burden end up losing life because they many times attach shame which has affected their expression of these diseases to the medical persons in time coupled with limited information on how these diseases present so that they can be helped as aself care strategy for ealry warning signs in adressing these ailments. with the pilot focus group discussions we have engaged in, the major CRY is availing them with knowlege on what to look out for and that because there are very few gynecologists and that they are in the regional hospitals and not communty hospitals because they are few and drugs are equally expensive. OUR WISH is to have reproductive mobile clinics get to the communities to access the services because the issues are so many that even when they get to the hospital the specialised doctors are few and that they fail to get treatment and end up doing self medication that has worsen the situation in the women and families at large.
the mobile clinic will be running to the communities atleast quarterly hence availing knowlege in the focus discussions and treatment for those who are distant and not able to afford some of the fees required in the private facilities since most of the people end up there since the doctor patient ratio in the public hospitals is big. this will improve personal and family health as well as reducing on the gender based violence which eventually leads building potential in developments in all areas.
