A Heartfelt Wish to Meet Lisa from BLACKPINK
Date Published:
I am writing with a deeply personal and heartfelt request that comes from a place of love, hope, and healing.
My daughter, Ella, is a devoted fan of Lisa Manoban and BLACKPINK. Her music, energy, and confidence have been a bright light in my daughter’s life during some of her darkest moments. Over the past few years, my daughter has endured significant emotional trauma that has left her struggling with anxiety, PTSD, and very low self-esteem.
This trauma has also deeply impacted her daily life. She has had to step away from school at times, has lost countless nights of sleep, and now misses a significant amount of school because of how overwhelming things have become for her. As a parent, it has been incredibly difficult to watch her carry so much pain and disruption at such a young age.
Despite everything, she continues to find strength through music—especially Lisa’s. She admires her not just as an artist, but as a symbol of resilience, confidence, and self-expression. On days when even the simplest tasks feel impossible, Lisa’s performances give her something to hold onto. They remind her that strength can exist alongside vulnerability, and that she is not alone.
She has also been deeply moved by moments Lisa has shared publicly about her own anxiety and the way she turns to prayer before performing. Seeing someone she looks up to speak openly about fear while still showing courage has had a profound impact on my daughter. It has helped her begin to find her own sense of faith, leading her to God and giving her a renewed sense of hope through prayer during her most difficult moments.
With the upcoming Las Vegas residency, I wanted to reach out with a humble wish: if there is any possible way for my daughter to have a brief moment to meet Lisa—even just to say hello—it would mean more than I can put into words. I truly believe it would give her a lasting memory of joy and encouragement, something she could carry with her as she continues her healing journey.
I understand how many requests like this you must receive, and how limited time and access can be. Even so, I felt it was important to share her story and this small, hopeful wish. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for bringing so much light into the lives of fans like my daughter.
With sincere gratitude,
Molly Finley
