Stop. Pause. Unplug.

Please. Right after you finish reading this— put your phone, iPad, and laptop down, and just go outside. Take a moment to unplug and enjoy life without being attached to an electronic device. There’s something very freeing about not having to answer to anybody and just being present in the moment. At first it may seem a little scary, because out of habit, all you want to do is check your phone over and over again. So leave your phone behind. And take a break.



 



Embrace this freedom. We were not born with a cell phone in our hands, so we don’t need one with us all the time. What did we do before we had cell phones? We actually had human interactions. We would go outside and enjoy the weather, watch a sporting event, lounge by the pool, exercise...things that did not require us being glued to our phones. We talked face to face. Laughed. We lived.



 



Find five minutes today to go outside and ground yourself energetically. If you’re feeling extra flighty lately and really stressed, try taking off your shoes and walking barefoot in the grass. There’s something magical that happens from a grounding standpoint energetically when you can walk with your feet touching earth without shoes on. Try it.



 



Enjoy the moment, and take a deep breath. Inhale happiness. Exhale stress. Make it a beautiful day. A day where you are finally unplugged.
