Let's see with our hearts!

Hello Everyone,
My name is Eva Gudim. I´m a children´s writer. I wanted to reach out to you and tell my story because I think it´s important.
Nowadays, appearance is becoming a top priority for more and more people. Younger and younger people become obsessed with "being pretty" or "handsome" like never before. A recent research shows that for 89% of teens, looks are the most important factor in judging a person's worth.
I´ve been working with children for the past couple of years, and I´ve witnessed from the inside how “beauty†stereotypes affect children, even down to preschool age. When 5-year-old girls refuse to play with another girl because her dress is not "pretty" enough and she has "brown" eyes, while theirs are blue, and because she speaks "so strange" - it's time to change the stereotypes. And the work has to begin with the small folks.
So I´ve thought: what is the best way to reach out to children and parents if not through a story, a kind of fairy tale that speaks to today's generation?
With "A Deeper Look or The Legend of Dwarf Nose", I wanted to write a story that showed children that real beauty lies in our hearts.
This book has been my passion project for the last 9 months, and I`m so excited that I can finally share it with all of you.
The story was written as a screenplay at first, but the process from screenplay to film may sometimes take a long time. And I was so inspired to share my message with the world, I decided not to wait and turn it into a book instead.
I've brought onboard an artist, Santanu Mitra. This guy is the real deal. What he's created so far is marvelous.
The purpose of that book is to enable and support children by showing them what true beauty is, not according to today's modern societies criteria, but according to our heart.
With illustrations, poetry, prose and a story set in a timeless European environment, this is a story about engagement—and with our IndieGoGo campaign, we want to have the world join us and prove that even if the news is bad, the world is still a place that ultimately believes in the beauty of the heart and soul.
Our mission is to have a more positive impact on more children's lives. And if we can give them just a little motivation, it's a huge win.
I wanted to share this story not out of vanity, but because I really believe that in telling it I can speak to those who need to hear my message the most. I just believe in it with my whole heart.
You've probably heard a well-known saying of the Russian writer Fyodor Dostoyevsky "BEAUTY WILL SAVE THE WORLD." I would like to alter this little bit by adding just three words and say: "BEAUTY OF OUR HEARTS WILL SAVE THE WORLD."
