Dublin Writers’ Conference 2019

It is my great pleasure to welcome Laurence O’Bryan back as a guest this week for our writers and entrepreneurs! Laurence O’Bryan is an author and the founder of https://BooksGoSocial.com and https://TheDublinWritersConference.com
Please listen in to Laurence’s valuable advice and special offer:
The Dublin Writers’ Conference – June 21st-23rd – is in its 5th year. The conference offers a weekend of networking with other writers, from Ireland and abroad, as well as sessions on everything from “How I’m Making €10,000 a Month as a Self-Published Author†to “How to Pitch Your Idea to Hollywood.â€
That pitching to Hollywood part of the conference reflects the conference theme this year: “Taking Stories to the Screen.†A separate stream of sessions on the Saturday will feature internationally renowned script writers in the morning, so you can get the script started, a pitch training session in the afternoon, followed by a public pitch to a producer with 30 TV and movie credits to his name and another producer with a recent Netflix success behind her.
Why join us?
> Attend world class training sessions on writing craft and digital marketing for authors
> Sessions are delivered by speakers who will give you the inside track
> Enjoy networking with fellow writers and making valuable connections
> This unique conference will motivate and inspire you to reach your goals as a writer
> We are a proud partner member of the Alliance of Independent Authors Association and adhere to their code of conduct in all our services
Self-publishing is well covered too. One of the leading gurus in this area is flying in from the United States specially. Dave Chesson is the creator of the KDP Rocket service, founder of the Kindlepreneur blog and podcast and creator of a range of online services to help self-publishing authors.
Traditional publishing will be represented, among others, by Patricia Gibney, the million selling Irish author who has totally cracked the international market. Patricia will update us on where her series and career are going and how she got it right.
There are many other reasons to attend this conference too, including sessions on the Hero’s Journey, paranormal romance, sci-fi and historical fiction, as well as one of Ireland’s leading editors, and an Irish book marketing expert.
The conference is a great way to build your network, get inspiration and most of all have a truly wonderful weekend in Dublin, June 21st to 23rd.
There are fringe events too and a Friday night reading, and on the Saturday night there will be an Award dinner. The Dublin Writers’ Conference Awards will be announced on the night followed by a theatre improv session.
For a weekend of all things writers and writing this annual event offers amazing value. The venue is just off O’Connell Street at the Academy Plaza hotel and sessions start on Friday the 21st June.
This will be our most heavily booked conference yet. We will be closing bookings before the conference starts so please, if you don't want to be disappointed, book your place:
