A Dignified woman (Women Economic Empowerment)

Project Title: A Dignified Woman
This project empowers more than 200 marginalized women in the village of Ugunja, Siaya County, Kenya, through vocational training, financial literacy workshops, the provision and use of sanitary pads for girls, and seed funding for women farmers. Over 12 months, participants will launch sustainable micro-enterprises, increasing household income and ensuring economic independence. The total funding requested is $30,000
In Ugunja village, women face high unemployment rates and lack access to formal financial resources, considering that most of them are widows. Many are trapped in poverty due to unpaid care burdens and limited skills. This lack of economic agency increases their vulnerability to exploitation and food insecurity.
Our wish is to offer these wonderful women a dignified life.
Thanks
