Sewing Class for Women in Rural Lombok area
Date Published:
While teenagers in other regions are still embracing their youth, teenagers in Montong Ajan, Lombok, Indonesia, have already taken on roles as homemakers and mothers, leading somewhat isolated lives with limited exposure to the world beyond their village. Their reliance is primarily on their spouses and families, and they miss out on the typical experiences of adolescence. Besides tending to household chores, they lack alternative options in case of divorce or living independently. Our aim is to empower them with financial independence, which is why we offer sewing classes. Given the substantial demand for clothing products, this initiative can provide them with an opportunity to establish their own businesses and generate income.
We already have 6 sewing machines ready, but no budget to provide them with materials, rent a training venue, and instructor fee. Your support will give more hope and empower them to lead a better future.
