Nurturing talents from the slums

You , I and We, have the power and the autonomy to change the world. Fantastic!! Today, I am not moved an inch by the fact that I once languished in abject poverty and destitution as a bona fide inhabitant of a marginalized and underserved community here in Kenya. Like the proverbial phoenix, we can all rise from the ashes but not always own our own. I repeat, not own our own all the times. At some time, we need just the wings to do so, some wing to fly above the ashes. Yes, we desperately need a hand to lift us up at times.
Dear readers, I have a wish. A noble wish on the plight of bright needy and talented students from the vast slums of Nyalenda, Manyatta, Obunga and Bandani here in Kenya. With an impeccable potential to to join the global climate change action, I wish to bring them in through such a unique project opportunity that will enhance both gender inclusion, empowerment and at the same, reward the potentially untapped slum talents most relevant to ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS & SUSTAINABILITY calls in the phase of the current devastating global climate change.
Together, we can inspire the vulnerable, give them wings to fly, nurture their talents and change the world, right from the underserved slum communities where hundreds of untapped young talents lie in oblivion. If this wish can be granted, if it could come true, together, we will be sure of disorienting the seemingly constant poverty cycle.
