CROCHETING DREAMS, WEAVING BRIGHTER FUTURES

Preparing Materials for a Brighter Future

As part of the Crocheting Dreams: Weaving Brighter Futures project, Kibwa Women Self-Help Group is taking practical steps to prepare for the empowerment of 200 women and young mothers in Wakiso District, Uganda.

The preparation of crocheting materials, including colourful yarn and essential tools, marks an important stage in helping participants develop creative and practical skills. These materials will support the women as they learn to crochet handmade shoes, bags, and other useful products.

Through this project, we aim to equip women and young mothers with skills that can open doors to income-generating opportunities, strengthen their confidence, and help them support their families.

We extend our sincere appreciation to The WishWall Foundation and Miss @simonettalein for supporting this initiative and helping us create opportunities for women in our community.

At Kibwa Women Self-Help Group, we believe that every skill learned, every product created, and every stitch completed brings us one step closer to a brighter and more independent future.

Together, we are weaving skills, hope, and opportunity—one stitch at a time.
