My Wish: A Camera, A Dream, and a Better Future for My Children ❤️
Dear Wish Granting Team,
My name is Viridiana, and today I am writing with a heart full of hope, humility, and a dream that means so much more to me than simply owning an expensive camera.
I am a mother, and a hardworking woman, and the proud owner of a small photography business called Black and White Photography OKC.
My wish is to receive the professional camera, lenses, and photography equipment of my dreams, an investment of approximately $10,000 that would help me take my small business to the next level.
I know that $10,000 is a lot to ask for, and honestly, even writing this letter makes me emotional. There are so many people in this world with wishes, struggles, and dreams of their own. But I believe that sometimes, even the biggest dreams deserve a chance to be heard.
Photography is not just something I love. It is a piece of my heart.
Every time I hold my camera, I have the opportunity to capture something that time can never give back. A mother’s embrace, a child’s innocent smile, a daughter’s quinceañera, a family’s love, or a moment that will one day become a priceless memory.
And that is what makes photography so special to me. I don’t just take pictures. I preserve little pieces of people’s lives.
But behind every photograph I take, there is another dream that people don’t always see.
The dream of a mother who wants to give her children a better future.
I work hard, I have responsibilities, I have bills, and like so many parents, there are days when I put my own dreams aside because my children’s needs will always come first.
There have been times when I’ve looked at the cameras and lenses I wish I could own, imagining all the beautiful things I could create with them, only to remind myself that there are more important expenses waiting at home.
And although that can be discouraging, I refuse to stop dreaming.
I want my children to grow up watching their mother work toward something she loves. I want them to understand that dreams don’t have an expiration date, that hard work matters, and that even when life is difficult, we should never stop believing in what we can accomplish.
One day, when they are older, I want them to look back and say, “My mom never gave up. She believed in her dreams, and she worked hard to make them come true.”
That would mean more to me than anything money could ever buy.
Receiving this equipment would be life-changing for my small business. It would allow me to improve the quality of my work, expand the photography services I offer, reach more families, and create opportunities for financial growth and stability.
It would also give me the chance to continue capturing beautiful memories for other families while building a stronger future for my own.
I am not asking for someone to build my dream for me. I am willing to put in the work, the long hours, the dedication, and the sacrifices.
I am simply wishing for someone to believe in my dream enough to help me take that next step.
I know there is no guarantee that my wish will be granted. But if someone takes the time to read my story, I hope they see more than a woman wishing for a camera.
I hope they see a mother trying to create opportunities for her children.
A woman who believes in her passion.
A small business owner with big dreams.
And someone who would be forever grateful for an opportunity that could change the direction of her future.
If my wish were ever granted, I promise that every photograph I take with that equipment would carry a little piece of gratitude in it. Because I would always remember that someone, somewhere, believed in me when my dream felt so far away.
My biggest dream isn’t to own a $10,000 camera. My biggest dream is to build a life where my children can see that their mother turned something she loved into something meaningful for their future.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my wish, for allowing people like me to share their dreams, and for reminding us that kindness and generosity can make an incredible difference in someone’s life.
With love, hope, and endless gratitude,
