Future Entrepreneurs: Plaisirs du Palais

Plaisirs du Palais / Pleasure for the Palate
Last week we went broad with coverage on the Facebook hearings and best practices for bridging the generation gap. Now, we’ll hone in on a popular post and discuss why it works.
This week’s pleasure for the palate is courtesy of Marcel Deliens, AKA Dandy Cannes [https://dandycannes.fr]. After reading the tasty inspiration in French I was inspired to re-gram one of the main images: “Déjeuner au restaurant étoilé Michelin Le Candille†[photo and course-by-course description by Marcel: https://dandycannes.fr/le-candille]
We’ll put our language skills into play and list the original French first; keep reading for the English translation. [ICYMI: https://thewishwallfoundation.org/desideri/future-entrepreneurs-language-skills].
Marcel and Le Mas Candille team both do excellent work with their social media by posting and commenting in their native French, as well as commenting on social media in French and English!

Located in Mougins between Cannes and Nice and set in a 9-acre park, Le Mas Candille [https://www.lemascandille.com/en] is a luxury hotel offering high-end guestrooms and suites, two restaurants, the Candille Spa, three swimming pools, two Jacuzzis and two meeting rooms. The 45 beautifully designed guestrooms, including 7 suites, offer flat-screen TVs with cable channels, free Wi-Fi, minibar, in-room safe, air conditioning and telephone. Most rooms enjoy a balcony or a terrace.
“Le Candille†Restaurant
The Michelin-starred gastronomic restaurant “Le Candille†invites you to discover a creative and subtle cuisine. Le Candille dining room was entirely refurbished in 2012 and promises a genuine dining experience within a sumptuous setting while enjoying stunning views of the foothills of the Alps.
Congratulations to Chef Xavier Burelle and pastry chef Olivier Roth and the #teamLMC.

The photo has become one of the most popular re-grams in my gallery [instagram.com/akashalin]. The image has excellent composition and certainly invites us in to learn more. (Bien fait, Marcel!)
A common composition “mistake†in traditional photography is placing your subject directly in the center of the frame. Many composition tutorials advise against placing your main subject in the center of the image. Here, the photo structure frames the main food image and works as an hors d'oeuvre for the meal and for the eye. The table is structured to put even more emphasis on the central part of the photo, and to give us a glimpse of the surrounding countryside. (According to my recent top influencer seminar, it's still a good practice to post a photo that did well at a different time than the original post. For example, this time on Instagram I'll use the photo above and another from Marcel's blog that sets up the dinner nicely with sequential courses.)
Yes, I’d be delighted to accept the invitation from #teamLMC and find out more about the next course and to see the surroundings for myself. I’m working in ways to include France on my #DavantiThriller launch tour.
When developing your blogs and social media keep language translations in mind as you are posting and developing hashtags for your brand. When commenting on your posts in another region, do your best to comment in their native language, even if it’s as simple as “thank you†or “cheersâ€.
I hope you are inspired by the gourmet post from our French partners Dandy Cannes and Le Candille [https://dandycannes.fr/partners]. Merci encore pour l'inspiration et l'invitation! Oui, à bientôt, j'espère.
Thank you for reading and for your emails. We welcome your comments below.
Santé / cheers!
