“Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day” this is a common saying we all know.

Water is what we need to survive. For an average person like us having enough water for the day is never an issue we have access to water daily, we have water inside and outside our home, we have water we can buy.

But people living in mountainous areas are not the same.

Having water means walking miles from your home to the nearest spring or river in the area. They can’t worry about whether the water is clean. Water is water they need it but they barely have access to it.

The Smile Project wishes to give the Indigenous Community in the Philippines a water source. Because we know what joy it will bring to them not having to worry about their water drying out during the summer and to have the water closer to their homes.

Children won’t need to trek down a mountainous landscape for a drink and carry water so that the whole family can drink and cook.

A water pump will also mean a lot to their sanitation. Kids can now take a bath daily, brush their teeth and wash their hands before they eat.

Clean hands save lives is what we teach them but having little access to water makes it harder for them to maintain cleanliness.

For $3,000 we can build a water pump in the community that will not only benefit the generation today but the generation next to them and the generations to come.

We are asking for the kindness of your organization and the people who support The Wishwall Foundation to help us in giving smile to the indigenous people of the Philippines.
