Improvement of Sanitation Facilities (Latrines) at Doranatha Infant and Primary School, Busunju Town Council

Date Published: 4/24/2025

Doranatha Infant and Primary School, located in Busunju Town Council, is currently facing significant challenges related to sanitation and hygiene. During a survey conducted by the Kibwa Women Self-Help Group on 16th October 2024, it was observed that the existing latrines used by students and staff are in poor condition. This poses a serious risk of disease outbreaks like cholera, Dysentery, Typhoid Fever, Helminth Infections (Parasitic Worms) among others. Given the limited financial resources of the school, owned by Bakuna Dorothy and her husband Nathan, there is a critical need for external support to improve these facilities.
