Urgent - Help Empower Underprivileged Kids in South Africa with Essential Computer Skills
Date Published: 4/02/2025
Dear Community,
I hope you’re doing well. My name is Kyle Hearne, and I’m reaching out on behalf of a startup initiative that I would like to pursue called Helping Hands,.
I am currently working on an exciting initiative called Helping Hands, which aims to empower underprivileged children in South Africa with essential computer skills to help them succeed in today’s digital world.
In many communities across South Africa, children lack access to basic computer training, a gap that hinders their academic performance and future career prospects. Without the necessary digital skills, they face significant barriers in their education and future careers. This is where we need your help.
Our goal is to raise R150,000 within the next six months to provide these children with access to computer labs, training programs, mentorship, and learning materials that will set them on a path to success. With your support, we can help close the digital divide and ensure that these children have the skills they need to thrive.
How Your Contribution Will Help:
Computer Lab Setups: Creating fully equipped labs in schools and community centers for students to use.
Training Programs: Running comprehensive computer literacy classes, including coding and digital design.
Mentorship & Volunteer Support: Providing guidance from experienced mentors and instructors.
Learning Materials & Resources: Supplying textbooks and online resources to enhance learning.
Transportation & Access Costs: Ensuring all children can access the training by covering transportation and internet data fees.
How You Can Help:
R500: Provides a child with access to a computer lab for one month.
R5000: Funds one month of computer literacy classes for a child.
R10,000: Covers the cost of a laptop or tablet for a child to practice at home.
R25,000: Provides a complete training kit (computer, software, materials) for 5 children.
R50,000: Funds one month of mentorship and training for an entire class of 20 children.
No matter the size, your donation will make a direct impact on these children's futures. By giving them access to computer skills, we are not just teaching them technology—we’re opening doors to education, job opportunities, and a brighter future.
Join us in changing the future of South Africa’s youth. Your support could make all the difference, and we would be so grateful if you could consider a donation. You can also help by sharing this campaign with your network—together, we can help create lasting change.
We will provide regular updates on the progress of our efforts, so you can see firsthand the difference your contribution is making.
I have included our Backabuddy link for your reference as well.
