Writer wishes to share ancestors' stories

My mom recently passed and it was her wish, and me too, to write our ancestral stories. That of my grandmother, my grandfather, hers and of course mine. As a writer, I want to explore the intergenerational connections through three generations of women, and to see what remains unsaid and unexpressed for deeper healing. To do this I must retrace our lives, from Izmir during Turkish-occupation, to Crete, then immigration to Canada, and travels between and across these countries. My wish is to fund the historical and ancestral research needed so I can write a three-book family memoir, as the stories in them are not limited to my lineage, but the untold stories of all our ancestors.
