Justice + Peace

Date Published: 6/04/2020

Last week we talked about a change in strategy, without a change in vision.

This week we all had our eyes on the George Floyd police brutality video, protests and #BlackLivesMatter.

I wish for justice and peace. My college town Minneapolis is the epicenter of this tragedy and my hometown of St. Paul became part of the protests and looting. It’s been reassuring to talk about all this with my family and friends in the Twin Cities and in my current city, Chicago.

The images are still fresh in our minds and on many of our TVs.

I leave the rest of my message to a call for the violence to stop:

And the mother of George Floyd’s daughter: “This is what those officers took…”
