Construction of vocational Institute for vulnerable youth in Bundibugyo, Uganda

Date Published:

The majority of young people in Ntoroko and Bundibugyo District lack access to and control over resources. This is primarily due to the widespread poverty within families in the region, resulting in insufficient resources to support their children. Additionally, there is a scarcity of skill-building centers in the area, further limiting opportunities for youth development. Consequently, many young individuals are unable to pursue their education, with some being forced into early marriages and assuming family responsibilities despite lacking resources themselves.

The establishment of a vocational training institute would serve to enhance the capacities of vulnerable youth at an affordable cost, thereby improving their prospects for employment.
