Support for my business idea
Date Published:
Hello, my name is Susan. I am from Abia State Nigeria. I am the 1st of five children. I started working at the age of 17 immediately after my secondary school. This was to less the financial burden on my parents and to support my self through university as I had four other siblings
After school I also had to be the bread winner for my family as my husband had no steady income for almost the first ten years of our marriage. I have worked for more than 20 years and which has given me the leadership skills and knowledge I need to run my own business that is why I am seeking support to kick of my business idea ( Naijawyfe).
Naijawyfe was born out of a social norm that was being practiced by many urban women in my country. I discovered over time that many women do their groceries and household shopping using a list of items written on paper including myself. I tried shopping with other shopping list Apps but they did not contain any of our local foodstocks or spices. Naijawyfe would improve the way women in my country do their shopping by eliminating the necessity of shopping with a list of items written on paper as well as enable women create a list of both Nigerian and foreign food items when they want to go shopping.
Seeing my dream come to life would ignite the spark I need to know that I can do anything I set my heart to accomplish as well as empower other women as well.
I already have a business model canvas ready and would love to share it if required.
