A dream of inclusion.
Date Published:
Hi guys!
I am wanting ANY help I can get to start this dream I have.
I want to make a health and community centre in my local town of Ipswich.
Since COVID I have had to give up my job as a teaching/inclusion support assistant due to my health.
Diagnosed with a condition called FUNCTIONAL NEUROLOGICAL DISORDER has left me with multiple complex symptoms and in a wheelchair for most of the time.
I have had virtually no support from health professionals as its not something they can "fix" with a pill or support.
With this in mind I have researched all options for private therapy to make my symptoms more manageable. There is nothing within a 50 mile radius of Ipswich. This leads me to my idea.
A community health therapy hub.
Must be wheelchair accessible. Must be large enough to have multiple rooms. With physios on hand to take sessions. A hydrotherapy pool with support to hoist in and out. Guidance on financial support. Working with the local job centre to get some disabled individuals back into a working routine without fear of benefits being taken away. Rooms to hire for private counselling or craft groups and a cafe hub to socialise in throughout the day.
The idea is that I would like this to run on a pay and go basis or a subscription basis where for an affordable price, people with disorders such as CFS, ME, FIBROMYALGIA FND ETC. Can start to work on getting better without waiting on a list for the next 3/5 years.
I have no idea where to go with regards to creating a business plan, linking with investors or gaining capital to use to make this dream happen but I think it would be the BEST thing if something like this was there to support me.
Thanks for reading. I can't wait to hear from you soon.
Best wishes.
