help to help others

I am a passionate animal advocate, that runs my own independent cat rescue in Windsor ON Canada. I recently had an inspiration to organize a pet food bank to help keep pets in their homes, since there has been an unprecedented number of animals in the community surrendered to rescues or shelters, or flat out abandoned. Unemployment is the highest in our community than any other area of Canada. I felt if we could help with the cost of pet food and pet provisions, perhaps we could motivate people to keep their beloved pets where they belong, at home in their families. I have joined forces with St. Vincent de paul and their human food banks, and the organizer Jenny Wilson has told me the need there is greater, than even the human food bank. If we could get ongoing financial support, we could fill this need and help families to stay TOGETHER.
