The main objective of the project is to; strengthen the capacity of farmers to conserve natural resources and adapt to effects of climate change in agriculture in the Rwenzori Mountain ranges of Bunyangabu District-Uganda and this will be achieved through the following specific objectives:

2. To conserve and rejuvenate natural resources (wetlands, rivers and forests) through planting 300,000 crop friendly trees and 300,000 fruit trees in Bunyangabu District by end of 2025

3. Strengthen the functionality of local environment committees in Kyamukube Town council by end of 2025

Models and theory of change. The project is based on three models of; a) Linking environment protection to agriculture productivity & income model, b) Farmer group model and c) Cluster model. Dream International believes that, “If farmers are enabled to take advantage of planting trees as an alternative to adapt to effects of climate change, protect and conserve environment with responsive local government, the agricultural productivity will increase that will lead to food security and improved household income”.
