I am writing in the hope that someone will be willing to answer prayers, making my family’s dream come true...
Through desperation, I've become an accidental inventor. Born and raised in Philadelphia PA, my original dream was to become a fashion designer. But, as it so happens, life will sometimes lead you in an entirely different direction.
I am a proud wife and mother of two Sons who are diagnosed with High-Functioning Autism. I am also a true believer who knows that "desperation can spark inspiration" and in our home, hard work is never an issue. Trusting my then (future) husband, we moved from Philadelphia to Wilmington Delaware, where we lived for five years. In 2013, after a year of investing, we took the trip of a lifetime. It was our very first family vacation in Florida, which included our wedding Cruise!
In 2014, a bout with depression and abdominal issues forced me to resign from my job of two years. Faced with extremely cold weather, and loss of roofing work, my husband Chris and I decided to return to Florida, permanently to live for the sun and year-long contracting jobs. Unfortunately, we did not factor in the hurricane seasons. We lost our first rental home in Hurricane Matthew, causing our family of four(4) to spend six months in a 2-bed motel room. Through FEMA, we obtained our current home; a vehicle for transportation, and I acquired a new job. However, in 2017, an ankle injury and a car accident left me permanently injured, which forced me to be a stay-at-home mom.
This was not the first time that I took on the role, but it is the first time that I knew I could no longer perform many of the duties that made me an effective employee. Luckily, staying home gave me the greatest opportunity of being engaged in the lives of my children. I became a proficient mother in Canning, baking, gardening, growing fruits and vegetables, and played at planning. This is the point where innovation brought forth my invention. Frustrated by an inconvenient kitchen gadget, we created the perfect solution for an outdated household instrument. Believing in my invention, I sold stock that I accumulated for my children to finance it. After working with a patent company for 6 months, I now have a professional portfolio, complete with 2D graphics. Currently, we're at a sticking point. Although my invention has the potential to bring high performance, and financial growth, (its functionality and composition is one-of-a-kind), locating professional financial investors are few and far between.
So today, I make MY WISH request on behalf of my family and its Legacy. Not for a car or for a house, we believe that my invention will give our family all the necessities we will ever need as well as bring my fresh & new idea into household's everywhere, and the opportunity to bring a smile to everyone who uses it.
My DREAM is simple; for an ANGEL INVESTOR who is willing to fund a U.S. and International Patent for my invention.
