Getting back to life

Ever had one of those days when everything you thought was stable suddenly feels like it's crashing down? Well, that’s me in a nutshell right now. I remember vividly the day my world came to an unexpected halt. It wasn’t just any ordinary day; it was our son’s first birthday and instead of basking in joy and celebration, all I could feel was fear about how we were going to make ends meet.

It's a truth universally acknowledged that raising kids is expensive – formula alone costs more than my weekly grocery budget! And let me tell you, those little ones don’t just grow up once; they do it every day with each new milestone. But as life would have it, I found myself in quite the pickle: unable to keep pace with everyday expenses and facing hard decisions about whether to pay for medicines or food.

Navigating through this crisis has been like trying to steer a ship during a storm – tough, relentless, and sometimes terrifyingly uncertain of what’s next. Our little one deserves so much more than just mere survival; he needs joy in his life, dreams to chase, and opportunities at every corner. But with each passing month, it feels like we're drifting further away from providing that for him because the financial strain is suffocating us.

But here’s where you come into our story... If there’s one thing I believe deeply in this life, it’s human kindness and generosity. And if my words have stirred something within you, perhaps a sense of compassion or recognition of similar struggles – please let that feeling guide you to us.

Every rand counts now more than ever. It buys groceries for another day, pays the water bill that fell overdue yet again, maybe even helps fix our car which is on its last legs. Your support isn’t just a donation; it’s investing in hope, resilience, and second chances because we all know how close to giving up feels like sometimes.

So here I am, reaching out across the digital divide—not as an outsider looking in but as someone who knows what hardship looks like up-close. Every rand you give is a step towards keeping families together against life's storms and creating more sunny days for us all.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart if you choose to be part of this journey with us!
