💛 From a Daughter’s Heart: Why My Dad Is Still Fighting—and Why We Need Your Help

Date Published:

My name is Addyson, and I’m the daughter of an extraordinary man—Jaymar Davis. My dad is battling Stage IV metastatic bladder cancer, and our lives were turned upside down the day he was diagnosed in September 2024.

At first, we were hopeful. Doctors seemed confident that his journey would follow a clear, manageable path: chemo, surgery, recovery. We didn’t want to worry anyone, so we only told our closest friends, family, and his team at CAMI Energy. By Thanksgiving, everything seemed on track. The cancer markers had decreased. Friends came to chemo. I was home with him under FMLA. We even had moments of laughter and peace.

But everything changed in an instant. The chemo had severely damaged his kidneys, and by December, he was hospitalized. A few weeks later, we were told that despite the initial progress, the tumor had grown and spread to his lymph nodes. Just like that, surgery was off the table. I remember staring at my dad and asking silently, “Does this mean… he’s going to die?”

That was the beginning of a long series of hospitalizations, infections, and painful decisions. His prognosis dropped from months to weeks. Still, Dad kept fighting. Even now, as he’s home in hospice care, surrounded by medical equipment, we are still holding onto faith and searching for hope.

That hope is Envita Medical Center in Scottsdale, AZ.

Envita provides personalized, integrative treatment for patients like my dad—people with late-stage cancer who didn’t respond to traditional medicine. They create therapies tailored to the genetic makeup of each tumor and offer protocols not covered by insurance.

Their care gives us a chance.

💸 The Cost of a Second Chance
Envita treatment costs approximately $10,000 per week. The full plan may take 10–13 weeks, totaling up to $130,000. We’ve already started the consultation phase and are willing to begin treatment as soon as we have $20,000.

We’re asking for your help in any way you can give. Here's how you can join us:

1 person to sponsor the full treatment

10 people to give $13,000 each

100 people to give $1,300

1,000 people to give $130

Even if you can’t give these amounts—please share. Help us build a village of supporters who believe in faith, family, and second chances.

👨‍👧 About My Dad, Jaymar
To so many, Jaymar is more than a cancer patient. He’s a husband, a father, a coach, an engineer, and a servant-leader. He’s mentored clean energy professionals, helped businesses reduce their environmental impact, and led teams with passion through CAMI Energy. He's a proud Prairie View A&M alum, a faithful friend, and a person who always shows up when others are in need.

He’s also my dad, my coach, and my biggest cheerleader. He's the man who coached my rec teams, grilled the best brisket, and never left a conversation without making you feel valued.
