Science You Are Our Only Hope

Date Published: 4/26/2017

This past weekend there was a March for Science held across the world. I just want to talk about a subject that has been brought up recently. The term being used is politicized science. What if I told you science is both politicized and not? On it's face science is science.

There are scientists across the globe with different political views that are just following the numbers and facts. With that knowledge and those numbers, it's up to the scientists to then advise our politicians on how to best pass laws for the future. That's how science and politics should collide in my point of view.

On another science note, shout out to Neil deGrasse Tyson, Bill Nye and Elon Musk as well as countless others for putting science at the forefront of things and more importantly making science fun again.

My wish is for us to get ourselves and our kids to get more interested in science. I personally love the podcast Science Friday on NPR. Let's expand our knowledge of the science that affects our everyday lives and change the world by doing so.
