The vulnerable women communities of nanasna east ii b ward, Nsenge, Masulita and Naluule will be the direct immediate. they will aquire all the available knowledge and skills in the project.
Nurturing For Future Development Organization, will be the one in charge of running the project. its staff members and all organization materials that relevant to the project will all be put to use for the success of the project.
it will mobilize all the beneficiaries of the of the project and make sure the project is finished in time.
Teenage pregnant mothers and those that have put to birth, these are girls of ages of 9-17 who have been defiled, raped or lured into sex, they are currently facing the harsh reality of early and forced marriag
Our survey found 90% of women and girls are living under extreme poverty in the communities of Wakiso district major focus put on nasana east ii b ward, naluvule, masulita and nsenge ,95% do not own land leaving them dependents of men this has increased chances of being abused as they have no say over men. 86% of girls age17 and below get married forcefully, raped and even defiled.
the above communities being remote only few people have electricity and other means of light or even basic needs of life , since women cannot afford any of the above they resort to begging from men this has led to severe abuse and Domestic violence due to increased poverty as men are the only providers of families since, the majority of about 94% are not educated beyond Primary level ,the women and girls cannot find any jobs , this project will help provide soap and candle making skills to women ,girls and teenage mothers which will help them create their own jobs and sustain themselves without having to depend on men.


The project is centered on training the beneficiaries how to make candles and soap for them to use in their homes and sell in and neighboring communities, this is so because the demand and market for the two products is available, the people willing to learn are also available, the material needed for making the two products can be accessed, the project requires little space, it takes little time to produce, the skills once learnt the person can start producing and start to make business.
The project has no season affecting production once the materials needed for production are available together with the person with the skills any time is time for production, the factor of forming groups to supervise the production per group and working as a team is also instrumental in project sustainability, the project will have groups and each group will elect its group leader and all the leaders from each group together will form the project marketing committee and trained as trainers for group members, they will be trained marketing and business administration for project sustainability and continuity.


Stakeholders at the center; Women and girls and teenage mothers are powerful agents of change but never at any time recognized, they are unemployed, abused and have no choice over anything concerning their lives and that of their families. looking at all that this project will help in empowering women, girls, survivors of domestic violence and teenage mothers. The candle and soap making project will help address most of the problems facing these people.

The project will be carried out or will spread to all communities of Wakiso district in the upcoming years the trained immediate beneficiaries will go ahead to train others and the sequence will continue.

The project is set to establish and promote a training demonstration training Centre that is used as a platform.

project monitor, monitoring is performed by group leaders, organization’s staff and project team who will routinely gather information during project field visits to make sure the implementation is going on track, reports prepared upon each visit conducted. We shall undertake routine collection of information for the purpose of tracking achievements, ensuring accountability of the resources used and results obtained, and facilitating decision- making. Through monitoring, we shall document project results, processes, and experiences throughout the
entire project implementation period.
Evaluation: will be conducted through interviews, beneficiaries will be asked their knowledge about the
project so far, and how best the project has achieved the purpose it was put in place, day-today operations, whether attend the conducted training; how attractive are the topics covered and materials used in the trainings, how applicable are the project ideas and views discussed with beneficiaries. Periodic reports prepared to find from field visit findings, the project team will meet regularly with groups and their leaders to share field findings to improve project operations, measure project impact on community and assess whether project is achieving the targets set, basing on income from the products and make project adjustments needed. final stage will be project closure and reporting to donors or funders.
