Heartbeat of our planet

Date Published: 4/25/2024

In the spirit of celebrating our beautiful planet, let’s reflect on the importance of Earth Day/Earth Month—as we have over the last 7 years of Future Entrepreneurs on The Wishwall!🌍
Our planet sustains us, provides us with life, and offers breathtaking natural wonders. Let’s cherish it, protect it, and make conscious choices to preserve its beauty for generations to come.
I wish to share 2 poetic reminders this month:
1) (Breath in)
In the quiet whispers of the wind,
The rustling leaves, the ocean's hymn,
The Earth speaks to us, a gentle plea,
"Every day is Earth Day, can't you see?"

Beneath the azure sky, the forests sway,
Their emerald canopies a haven for play,
The rivers weave stories, ancient and wise,
"Every day is Earth Day," they advise.

So, let's plant seeds of kindness, nurture the land,
Reduce our footprint, lend a helping hand,
For in these small acts, a promise we make,
That every day, we'll honor Earth's sake.

The Wishwall stands tall, a canvas of dreams,
Where hopes for a greener world gleam,
And as we inscribe our wishes, let's say,
"Every day is Earth Day," come what may.
Remember, dear friend, every day is an opportunity to appreciate and care for our planet. Let’s make it count! 🌿🌎✨

2) Eco inspo
I love a rainforest! I lived in Waipio Valley’s rainforest on Hawaii’s Big Island and came to appreciate the key balance needed. I learned about the Amazon Rainforest when I worked with a culinary client to write about sourcing and protecting a little-known South American fruit: huito blue.
In the heart of South America lies the Amazon Rainforest, a crucial component of the Earth’s ecological balance. Spanning across nine countries and covering over 5.5 million square kilometers, the Amazon is not just a geographical marvel—it’s a critical indicator of the planet’s health.
Imagine a vast green canvas pulsating with life, where each leaf and rivulet plays its part in a global climate symphony. Here, the Amazon is not just a rainforest; it’s a dynamic character in our Earth’s story. Its dense jungles and sprawling rivers are lifelines that weave through the narrative of our planet, influencing weather patterns and ecosystems across continents.
Listening beyond just recording noises, this field focuses on understanding the concert of life.
